Session IMajolica Clay TileLearn the technique of Majolica during this one-hour workshop. You will glaze the tile in white low fire glaze, and paint watered down underglazes on top to create a design. *The tiles will be brought back to your high school to fire. Jay JensenFA 134 6
Session IWire SculptureLearn the “draw” in three dimensions with simple materials and tools in this hands-on workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to create small wire and mixed media sculptures that explore the use of line, form and volume.Charlotte RothFA 138 6

Session IPhoto PortraitExplore studio portrait lighting in this session. Learn about Rembrandt, loop, butterfly, side lighting, and others while making portrait photographs in this hands-on workshop using basic studio lights.Photo PortraitFA 125 FULL
Session ISteel DrumThe sounds of the Caribbean, students will learn the basics of how to play the steelpan (AKA steel drum) both individually and in a steelband. Topics covered will included basic musicianship on the steelpan and aural/rote learning techniques. No musical or drumming experience is necessary! Dr. Andrew MartinFA175 6
